Apna laya pyar na lagge rab lave tan lagda ey;
Bujhya hoya deeva jekar guru jagaave jagda ey.
Poore satgur bajhon koi aj tak hoya paar nahin;
Lakh kare pai baajh pati de naari da shingaar nahin.
Sat purakh nun jane jehrha satguru poora honda nahin;
Jehrha kewal mantar deve guru adhura honda ey.
Os guru nun ki karna ey jo karda door bhulekhe na;
Kahda gyani jehrha rab nun ang- sang apne vekhe na.
Poora satguru ikko chin vich loko rab vikhanda ey;
Vaar vaar avtar guru ton vare vare janda ey.

One cannot love God on his own, this happens only if God wills it;
An extinguished lamp (of mind) can be lit if the True Master does light it.
None has ever crossed the Ocean of materialism without the True Master so far;
A woman may adorn herself with costumes and ornaments, but these are meaningless
without her husband.
He is the perfect True Master, who knows God - the eternal Truth;
The Master, who asks his disciples only to enchant a word, is imperfect.
What is the use of such a Master who can't remove one's doubts and delusions?
What type of enlightened saint is he, who does not feel the presence of God with him?
O' man, the True Master reveals God in a moment;
Avtar says, I adore the True Master again and again.

Meaning
Here, , Baba Avtar Singh Ji talks about the importance of a True Master without whom, man is incomplete, only a True Master can enlighten man with the Divine knowledge and clear all doubts.
Without True Master’s blessings, man cannot love God and also cannot be taken away from materialism. A person, who is not enlightened, can now be given God knowledge with True Masters blessings.
Thus a perfect true master is one who can remove all the doubts and enlighten a saint who can see and feel God everywhere. The one who only suggests singing few hymns is a Imperfect master.
Hence, he says that a perfect True Master reveals God in a moment. Baba Avtar Singh Ji, thus, admires and sacrifices everything that he has to the True Master.
